The payment, gift, or the offer or promise of any payment or gift, of money or other thing of value, directly or indirectly, or through any agent or other intermediary, to any person with the purpose or design of inducing such person to become or remain the wholesale customer of any handler is an unlawful trade practice.(Added by Stats. 1977, Ch. 1192.)
