73354. Prior to any referendum resulting from a petition filed in accordance with Section 73353, the petitioners shall deposit with the director an amount that the director deems necessary to defray the expenses of preparing the necessary lists and information and conducting the referendum. Any funds not used shall be returned to the petitioners who deposited the funds with the director.(Added by Stats. 1983, Ch. 494, Sec. 1. Effective July 28, 1983.)
