74735. Each board member, except ex officio members, shall have an alternate board member selected by the board member. An alternate member shall, in the absence of the member for whom he or she is an alternate, serve in place of the board member and shall have and be able to exercise all of the rights, privileges, and powers of the member when serving on the commission. If the status of a member changes, thereby making a board member ineligible to serve, or in the event of death, removal, resignation, or disqualification of a member, the alternate member shall act as a board member until a qualified successor is elected or appointed. The commission may not have more than one board member and one alternate from one grape rootstock nursery.(Added by Stats. 1992, Ch. 595, Sec. 1. Effective January 1, 1993.)
