65566. Subsequent to the first election after the effective date of this chapter, persons to be appointed to the office of commissioner by the Director of Agriculture shall be selected pursuant to such nomination and appointment procedures as may be established by the rules and regulations adopted by the commission in accordance with the provisions of this chapter and approved by the director.(Amended by Stats. 1971, Ch. 1105.)
