6983. (a) The measure of gross sales shall be the gross sales for the previous fiscal year of each licensee.(b) The secretary may conduct audits and ensure that an assessment is being properly paid.(Amended by Stats. 1998, Ch. 576, Sec. 3. Effective January 1, 1999.)
