In order to be eligible to hold the office of director of the district, a person shall be a citizen of the United States and of this state, and an owner of lands within the district which are devoted, in whole or in part, to the growing of the product for which the district is established.(Amended by Stats. 1988, Ch. 1101, Sec. 14.
