It is unlawful for any officer or employee of this state authorized to perform any of the duties prescribed by this chapter to accept any money, gift, or other thing of value from any person, given with intent to influence his official action, or to receive or accept from any person engaged in intrastate commerce in meat food products or poultry products any gift, money, or other thing of value given with any purpose or intent whatsoever.(Added by Stats. 1970, Ch. 1385.)
