§ 5280

If the obligee making the application under this chapter also states that the whereabouts of the obligor or the identity of the obligor’s employer is unknown to the party to whom support has been ordered to be paid, the local child support agency shall do both of the following:(a) Contact the California parent locator service maintained by the Department of Justice in the manner prescribed in Section 17506.(b) Upon receiving the requested information, notify the court of the last known address of the obligor and the name and address of the obligor’s last known employer.(Amended by Stats. 2000, Ch. 808, Sec. 67. Effective September 28, 2000.)
