1793. A permittee shall provide compensation pursuant to Section 404 of the federal Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. Sec. 1344 et seq.). The department shall classify the wetlands that the permittee will remove according to wetland type, consistent with Article 4 (commencing with Section 1790).(Added by Stats. 1993, Ch. 1254, Sec. 1.
