6610. (a) An owner or operator, or other party responsible for decommissioning, of an offshore oil structure may apply to the department for approval to partially remove the structure pursuant to the requirements of this chapter.(b) The department shall design and make available to potential applicants an application process that will facilitate review of the application by the department in a timely manner, consistent with Section 6604.(c) Upon receipt of an application pursuant to this section, the department shall transmit a copy of the application to the council, the commission, and the endowment, which shall constitute notice to these agencies.(Added by Stats. 2010, Ch. 687, Sec. 1.
