9025.1. The Legislature finds and declares that it is in the best interest of the people of the state and California’s marine resources and fisheries that the use of commercial hook and line fishing gear be regulated in a manner that assures the orderly development of the fisheries, maintenance of viable resources, and sustainable and satisfying commercial and recreational harvests.(Added by Stats. 1995, Ch. 827, Sec. 2.5.
