Notwithstanding the provisions of Sections 18147 and 18165, a California industrial loan company may, with the prior approval of the commissioner and subject to any rules that the commissioner may prescribe, have an insured depository institution engage in authorized agency activities as its agent.(Amended by Stats. 1996, Ch. 887, Sec. 59. Effective September 25, 1996.)
