As used in this chapter, 'mental institution' means a state hospital for the care and treatment of persons with mental health disorders or intellectual disabilities, the California Rehabilitation Center referred to in Section 3300 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, or a county psychiatric hospital.(Amended by Stats. 2014, Ch. 144, Sec. 15.
