1238. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 1236, if a city, county, city and county, or district determines that the implementation of any specific standard enumerated in Section 1236 would result in net additional costs which exceed any potential savings, the governing body of that city, county, city and county, or district shall have the option to determine whether or not to implement the specified standard.(Added by Stats. 1982, Ch. 101, Sec. 3.)
