7505. Every state and local public retirement system shall permit any person entitled to the receipt of benefits to designate that payment of such benefits shall be transmitted to a bank, savings and loan association, or credit union for deposit in the person’s account, and the transmittal of such payment pursuant to this section shall discharge the public agency’s obligations in respect to such payment.(Added by Stats. 1979, Ch. 454.)
