7506. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any person entitled to the receipt of benefits from any state retirement system may authorize the payment of the benefits to be directly deposited by electronic fund transfer into the person’s account at the financial institution of his or her choice under a program for direct deposit by electronic transfer established by the Controller pursuant to Section 7506.5. The direct deposit shall discharge the state agency’s obligation in respect to that payment.(Added by Stats. 1982, Ch. 1317, Sec. 1.)
