6546.7. Public agencies may enter into a joint powers agreement for the purposes of creating a fair and exhibition authority with the power to issue revenue bonds for financing projects under this article. A fair and exhibition authority of which the Department of Food and Agriculture is a contracting party, may contract with citrus fruit fairs for the financing of projects for such fairs and may issue revenue bonds for such purpose. A fair and exhibition authority of which a county is a contracting party, which county contracts with a nonprofit corporation to conduct a fair pursuant to Sections 25905 and 25906 of the Government Code, or any similar or successor provision, may contract with such nonprofit corporation for the financing of projects for such fairs, and may issue revenue bonds for such purpose.(Added by Stats. 1980, Ch. 1356.)
