8670.4. There shall be an administrator for oil spill response. The administrator shall be a chief deputy director of the Department of Fish and Game. The administrator shall be appointed by the Governor and shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor. The appointment by the Governor shall be subject to the advice and consent of the Senate. The compensation of the administrator shall be fixed by the Governor pursuant to law.(Added by Stats. 1990, Ch. 1248, Sec. 17. Effective September 24, 1990.)
