9356.2. Each member shall receive credit for service while absent on military service, provided he or she is a member at the time the absence commences or, in the case of military service prior to the effective date of this section, provided he or she was a legislator at the time the absence commenced. Contributions required for credit under this section shall be computed only upon compensation paid, if any, for the period of the absence on military service.(Amended by Stats. 2002, Ch. 664, Sec. 90.5.
