For each year of service rendered after the date this chapter becomes operative, each legislator who is a member of this system shall contribute 4 percent of his or her compensation as a legislator unless he or she is subject to other contribution provisions of this chapter. Those contributions shall be paid as provided in Section 9357.1.(Amended by Stats. 2002, Ch. 664, Sec. 90.8. Effective January 1, 2003.)
