The Secretary of State shall utilize the California Historical Records Advisory Board to advise, encourage, and coordinate the activities of the county historical records commissions, either designated or appointed by the county boards of supervisors pursuant to Section 26490. The chairperson or the chairperson’s designee of each county historical records commission may attend an annual meeting, at state expense, to receive advice in the preservation of local government archives and public library collections of historical materials.(Amended by Stats. 2021, Ch. 50, Sec. 57.
