Prior to the payment of any claim from funds appropriated pursuant to Section 7 of Chapter 1123 of the Statutes of 1977, the Controller shall require the claimant to certify in writing that it has attempted to recover its costs pursuant to Sections 1203.1 and 1203.1b of the Penal Code.(Added by Stats. 1984, Ch. 268, Sec. 21.5.
