As to such work to be performed by the department, the department and the California Transportation Commission may do any and all things in connection therewith as may be done in connection with state highways and may acquire therefor, pursuant to state law, any necessary real or personal property, or interest therein.(Amended by Stats. 1980, Ch. 212.)
