California Legal Code
16419. The Disaster Relief Fund is hereby established. Notwithstanding Section 13340, the fund is continuously appropriated without regard to fiscal years for purposes of funding disbursements made for response to and recovery from the earthquake, aftershocks, and any other related casualty. Moneys in the Disaster Relief Fund may, upon the direction of the Director of Finance, be transferred to the Special Fund for Economic Uncertainties to replenish that fund for disbursements regarding the earthquake, aftershocks, and any other related casualty. Disbursements from the Disaster Relief Fund and from the Special Fund for Economic Uncertainties incurred in responding to and recovering from the earthquake, aftershocks, and any other related casualty shall not be expended to supplant federal funds otherwise available in the absence of state financial relief.(Added by Stats. 1989, 1st Ex.
