Unless otherwise provided by law, the salaries of state officers and employees shall be paid out of the General Fund, or other recognized state fund from which a respective employee’s position is funded, on a uniform payroll cycle established by the department.(Amended by Stats. 2023, Ch. 39, Sec. 1.
