18528. 'Permanent employee' means an employee who has permanent status. 'Permanent status' means the status of an employee who is lawfully retained in his or her position after the successful completion of the probationary period. 'Permanent status' also means an employee who is lawfully appointed to his or her position after successful completion of the job examination period under the Limited Examination and Appointment Program.(Amended by Stats. 2018, Ch. 53, Sec. 19.
