18545. 'Duration examination' means an open competitive examination, or promotional examination, held for the express purpose of providing a list of persons available for duration employment. Employment lists resulting from duration examinations can be used only in making appointments for duration employment.(Amended by Stats. 1955, Ch. 1227.)
