A person who claims and is granted immunity prior to testimony or the production of books or papers, shall not be prosecuted, punished, or subjected to any penalty or forfeiture for or on account of any act, transaction, matter, or thing concerning which he or she shall, under oath, have testified or produced documentary evidence in any such hearing or investigation, except for perjury committed in so testifying.(Amended by Stats. 1997, Ch. 577, Sec. 5. Effective January 1, 1998.)
