20066. 'State peace officer/firefighter service' means service rendered as a state peace officer/firefighter member only while receiving compensation for that service, except as provided in Article 4 (commencing with Section 20990) of Chapter 11. It also includes service rendered in an employment in which persons have since become state peace officer/firefighter members.(Added by Stats. 1995, Ch. 379, Sec. 2. Effective January 1, 1996.)
