Credit for prior service rendered as an employee of a contracting agency shall be granted to each local member at the date the local member becomes a member of this system.This section shall apply to all local members who are in active state service on or after January 1, 1977, and notwithstanding any other provision in this article shall operate prospectively.(Repealed and added by Stats. 1995, Ch. 379, Sec. 2.
