21195. (a) Notwithstanding any other section in Article 6 (commencing with Section 21150) or in this article, the Department of Human Resources may reinstate a person who has retired for industrial disability pursuant to Section 21410, within 12 months after the effective date of retirement, if it has identified an available position with duties that the employee is able to perform. Upon reinstatement, the person shall become entitled to benefits under the partial disability retirement program pursuant to Section 21160.(b) This section shall not apply to any job-related or job-incurred illness or injury that occurs on or after January 1, 2000.(Amended by Stats. 2012, Ch. 665, Sec. 130.
