Notwithstanding Section 21357, in determining the method of calculation of subsequent retirement benefits for a university employee who, on the date of reemployment and reinstatement from retirement, did not have the right to elect membership in this system, the service rendered under the University of California Retirement Plan after reemployment and reinstatement shall be considered service rendered under this system.(Amended by Stats. 2005, Ch. 328, Sec. 14. Effective January 1, 2006.)
