Upon retirement of a state peace officer/firefighter member or a local safety member subject to Section 21363, 21363.1, 21363.3, or 21363.4 for industrial disability, the member shall receive a disability allowance of 50 percent of his or her final compensation plus an annuity purchased with his or her accumulated additional contributions, if any, or, if qualified for service retirement, the member shall receive his or her service retirement allowance if the allowance, after deducting the annuity, is greater.(Amended by Stats. 2003, Ch. 10, Sec. 27.
