Notwithstanding Section 20401 'state safety member' shall include persons employed as members of a state college police department who meet the minimum standards of competence established by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training, pursuant to Chapter 1 (commencing with Section 13500) of Title 4 of Part 4 of the Penal Code, except those members employed under class titles of Parking Officer and Campus Guard.(Added by Stats. 1995, Ch. 379, Sec. 2.
