Notwithstanding any other provision of this part, compensation includes salary withheld by the employer in accordance with Section 45165 or 88164 of the Education Code, which provide for continuation of salary payments during a period in which the member renders no service. The withheld salary shall be reported as earned.(Added by Stats. 1995, Ch. 379, Sec. 2. Effective January 1, 1996.)
