Notwithstanding any other provision of this part, separate rates of contributions for male and female members shall not be established or maintained, nor shall different benefit factors be established for male and female members in the same category. However, this section shall not apply to the computation of the actuarial equivalents required under this part for the determination of optional payments.(Added by Stats. 1995, Ch. 379, Sec. 2.
