For purposes of this chapter, 'nonparticipant spouse' means the spouse or the former spouse of the participant, who as a result of petitioning the court for the division of community property, has been awarded a portion of the allocations to the participant’s account during the marriage to the participant.(Added by Stats. 1999, Ch. 307, Sec. 4.
