Upon receipt of the report, the judge of the superior court shall issue an attachment directed to any sheriff, marshal, or police chief in the State of California, commanding him or her to attach that person and forthwith bring him or her before the judge who ordered the attachment issued.(Amended by Stats. 1996, Ch. 872, Sec. 49.
