§ 25502.6

It is unlawful for the purchasing agent in any county having a population of 900,000 or more to split or separate into smaller work orders or projects any public work project for the purpose of evading the provisions of this chapter or of any other law requiring public work to be done by contract after competitive bidding. Every purchasing agent who violates the provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor.(Added by Stats. 1947, Ch. 834.)
