Any auditor who fails or refuses to make and transmit the report required by this chapter, or any report or statement required by Division I of the Revenue and Taxation Code, shall forfeit to the State one thousand dollars ($1,000), to be recovered in an action brought by the Attorney General in the name of the State Controller.(Added by Stats. 1947, Ch. 424.)
