The board of supervisors may employ copyists to reproduce any county records and indices that are lost or destroyed by conflagration, public calamity, or otherwise or that are in danger of destruction by age, obliteration, or constant use in any of the county offices.(Added by Stats. 1947, Ch. 424.)
