Officers and employees whose function clearly fall within the scope of hazardous materials services are eligible.This section shall not be operative in any county until the time as the board of supervisors shall, by resolution adopted by a majority vote, make this section applicable in the county.(Added by Stats. 1998, Ch. 996, Sec. 4.
