31776.1. Upon termination of employment and retirement for service under the system, a participant shall:(a) Receive a distribution, in the manner prescribed in Section 31776.3, of the balance in the participant’s program account.(b) Begin receiving a monthly retirement allowance in an amount calculated pursuant to Section 31776.2.(c) Waive the right to any disability retirement benefits from the system, except for postretirement disability rights. This waiver does not include any rights the member may have pursuant to Sections 31720.5, 31720.6, and 31720.7.(Added by Stats. 2003, Ch. 897, Sec. 1. Effective January 1, 2004.)
