31781.01. Notwithstanding Section 31781, the death benefit of a member covered under Section 31751 shall consist of:(a) The member’s accumulated contributions.(b) A lump sum of two thousand dollars ($2,000) offset by any lump-sum death payment made under the federal Social Security Act.(Added by Stats. 1980, Ch. 58.)
