If a member who has elected the option provided in Section 31810 dies leaving a beneficiary entitled to an allowance based upon the allowance of the member, the beneficiary’s allowance shall be based upon the allowance the member would have received had he not elected the option.(Added by Stats. 1957, Ch. 663.)
