Any member of a system established under this chapter who is employed in a status requisite for membership in the State Teachers’ Retirement System, may elect to transfer his membership to that system. Any member who elects to transfer his membership pursuant to this section may also elect in writing to withdraw his accumulated contributions, and in such event he shall be paid all of his accumulated contributions in the county retirement system.(Added by Stats. 1957, Ch. 1452.)
