By ordinance or resolution, the city council may provide for a treasurer’s departmental trust fund into which collections of the police department and other officers authorized to make collections may be deposited at frequent intervals during each month. Officers or employees shall advise the city treasurer upon making each deposit.(Amended by Stats. 1951, Ch. 1553.)
