For the purpose of constructing, equipping, using, maintaining, or operating any facility, the city may lease or acquire by purchase, condemnation, or otherwise and hold and use any land, rights of way, water, water rights, quarry, gravel bed, other mineral deposits, or any other necessary property, within or without the city or the county where the city is located.(Added by Stats. 1949, Ch. 79.)
