50082. The Legislature shall make available to the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training in the Department of Justice for allocation to local agencies, funds to be used to provide the equipment required to be furnished by Section 50081. The Legislature shall, in addition, provide sufficient funds to the commission to cover the cost of administering the provisions of this section. The Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training shall adopt rules necessary to implement this section including rules governing the manner of application for allocation of funds.(Amended by Stats. 1972, Ch. 931.)
