(a) The local agency shall comply with the notice, protest, and hearing procedures in Section 53753.(b) In the absence of a majority protest, as defined in subdivision (e) of Section 53753, the governing body of the local agency may determine to fix the charge.(Amended by Stats. 2007, Ch. 27, Sec. 5.
